
Teriyaki ‘Chicken’
Teriyaki 'Chicken' on a skewer with great Japanese flavors.
Ingredients
- 500 gr chickwheat
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
Instructions
- Finely chop the garlic
- Mix all the ingredients except the chickwheat until all the sugar is resolved
- Add the chickwheat to the mixture and cover every piece
- Cover the marinaded 'chicken' with some plastic and place in the fridge
- Let it marinate for at least an hour or preferably overnight
- Skewer the pieces to a skewer
- Barbecue or use a griddle to bake the skewers
- Make a sauce of the remaining mixture by heating this is in a small pot
