
Pangsit Goreng
Everyone knows the Chines wonton or the Japanese dumpling, but what if if you deep-fry it? With this Pangsit Goreng recipe you will get to know what that's like!
Ingredients
- 200 gr vegan minced meat
- 1 spring onion
- 1/2 handfull chives
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tsp vetsin
- salt and pepper to taste
- wonton sheets
- sunflower oil to fry
Instructions
- Finely chop the chives and spring onions.
- Mix this with the minced meat and add garlic, ginger, vetsin and salt and pepper to taste.
- Create small balls (about 1 cm) of the minced meat.
- Optional: you can bake the balls quickly to have a harder structure.
- Defrost the wonton sheets and keep them save in a moist cloth.
- Grab one sheet, hold the sheet in a diamond form and put one meatball in the middle of the sheet.
- Fold the lower point sheet over the middle, not until the edge.
- Fold the sides back to lower point. You can use water to paste the wonton.
- Deep fry the pangsit in some hot oil for a couple of minutes until all sides are brown.
