Pangsit Goreng

Pangsit Goreng

Everyone knows the Chines wonton or the Japanese dumpling, but what if if you deep-fry it? With this Pangsit Goreng recipe you will get to know what that's like!

Ingredients

  • 200 gr vegan minced meat
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1/2 handfull chives
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp vetsin
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • wonton sheets
  • sunflower oil to fry

Instructions

  • Finely chop the chives and spring onions.
  • Mix this with the minced meat and add garlic, ginger, vetsin and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Create small balls (about 1 cm) of the minced meat.
  • Optional: you can bake the balls quickly to have a harder structure.
  • Defrost the wonton sheets and keep them save in a moist cloth.
  • Grab one sheet, hold the sheet in a diamond form and put one meatball in the middle of the sheet.
  • Fold the lower point sheet over the middle, not until the edge.
  • Fold the sides back to lower point. You can use water to paste the wonton.
  • Deep fry the pangsit in some hot oil for a couple of minutes until all sides are brown.
